Lakama supports local school football 20 May 12012, Kriel Kriel High School was one of the beneficiaries that received a full soccer kit courtesy of LAKAMA.

Apart from sponsoring Mpumalanga Black Aces, LAKAMA has a strong culture, built over many years, of working very closely with the local community. Football is a universal language and the sponsorship of the eMalahleni Township High Schools Challenge involves 11 schools in the region.

Not only is the campaign built around youth participation, each school has earmarked and represents their own under-privileged organization. The top four teams who make the semi-finals will also have won their "causes" a large catered meal for their entire facility - courtesy of LAKAMA.
